About ECSA - Greece

The Hellenic University Association for European Studies (also known as EPEES or ECSA - Greece) was founded in 1989, with its primary objective being the study and the promotion of EU institutional and political affairs.

In our website, you may find information about the Association, its goals and objectives, its members and governing board and navigate through the research and academic work that is being elaborated by the Association and its member-professors.

Our Mission

Aims of the Association are:

a) The study of the process of European integration, including the institutions and the functioning of the European Union.

b) The elaboration of proposals and the formulation of opinions on topics that are related to the role of Greece in the European Union.

c) The promotion of European Studies in the institutions of Higher Education.

d) The provision of scientific expertise to public, political, cultural and scientific institutions of country on the above topics.

e) Any other scientific activities that are related to European integration.

Message from the President

In a period of deep political, institutional and value driven crisis of the European integration, the Hellenic University Association for European Studies’s activities have to be oriented, by all means, to an active participation in the necessary public debate on the question of “what kind” of Europe do we need.
